How to Schedule Your Lessons and Manage Your Lesson Plan(s)
This is where you'll find answers about scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling lessons and about keeping track or making changes to your lesson plan(s).

Scheduling, Rescheduling or Canceling Lessons

How to Access Your AGA Account
Once you have purchased a lesson plan, you'll find everything you'll need to manage your lessons in your AGA account. ​To access your account take the following steps:

1. From any page of our website (including this one) find the account icon next to the words "Log In":
From a desktop it will be in the top right hand corner. From a phone it will be in the center of the header of any page under the social media icons.
2. Click on the account icon: .
3. Log in (if you are not already) using the email and password you set up when purchasing your lesson plan. Make sure you are using the same email and password you used when purchasing your lesson plan or it won't show your lesson plan or booked lessons in your account.

4. Once you are logged in, click the account icon again:

5. From here you'll see the categories for everything related to your account, lesson plan(s) and lessons:
My Bookings, My Wallet, My Orders, My Addresses, My Subscriptions, My Programs, My Rewards, My Account, Settings and Notifications. Here is a short definition of each of those items:

My Bookings = the past and future lessons you have booked
My Wallet = the payment information you have on file
My addresses = the home address(es) you have listed on your account
My Subscriptions = the lesson plan(s) you have purchased, the status of your plan(s), the number of payments received and the number of lessons remaining
My Programs = The online programs you have access to with your lesson plan, such as AGA University Online
My Rewards = Any rewards you've received, such as rewards for referrals etc.
My Account = Your personal information listed in your account, how to change your user name and a password, where to update your email address etc.
Settings = The specific features you'd like to keep or change about your account and what you have access to
Notifications = Any notifications you receive from any of the channels you set up in Settings



How to Schedule Lessons
To schedule lessons, take the following steps:

1. Go to the "Book" page on our website: https://www.americanguitaracademy.com/book
​
2. Log in (if you are not already) using the email and password you set up when purchasing your lesson plan. Make sure you are using the same email and password you used when purchasing your lesson plan or it won't show your lesson plan as an option during the "pay" step of booking.
3. Click the "Book Now" button below the instrument of your choice

4. Select the location where you want to have the lesson from the Location Drop Down Menu. Your options are to select one of our studio locations or a LIVE ONLINE via ZOOM lesson. Make sure you're choosing the location you prefer.

5. On the calendar, click the date you'd like to book. All available days will have a dot under the date.
​
6. Click your preferred time from the available times listed on the right hand side and then click the "Next" button
​
7. On the next screen, select your lesson plan under the "Payment for Lesson" section. If you don't see your lesson plan on the list, that means your lesson plan has expired and you can purchase a new plan from that list, or it means you logged in using an email or password combination that was not the one you set up when you purchased your lesson plan. If this is the case, simply log out and log back in using the correct email and password and begin the booking process again.

8. Recheck that you've booked the lesson at the location you prefer then click the "Confirm" button to complete the booking.
How to Reschedule Lessons
You can reschedule any lesson up to 12 hours before the lesson. To reschedule lessons, take the following steps:

1. login to your AGA account using the steps listed above in the "How to Access Your AGA Account" steps
​
2. Select the "My Bookings" section
3. Find the lesson you'd like to reschedule
​
4. Choose the reschedule option
​
5. Follow the prompts to find your new lesson time. Make sure you are rescheduling the lesson at the location you prefer.
How to Cancel Lessons
If you'd like to mark a lesson as cancelled because it is less than 12 hours before the lesson, take the following steps:

1. login to your AGA account using the steps listed above in the "How to Access Your AGA Account" steps

2. Select the "My Bookings" section
3. Find the lesson you'd like to mark as cancelled
​
4. Choose the cancel option
​
5. Follow the prompts to complete cancelling the lesson
Managing or Making Changes to Your Lesson Plan
How Lesson Plans Work
We have two types of lesson plans designed to give you the best lesson experience for your life and schedule:
1. Monthly Plans and
2. Longer Range/Family Plans

With all of our plans, you are in charge of booking, rescheduling and cancelling your lessons on the online calendar using the "How to Schedule Lessons", How to Reschedule Lessons", and "How to Cancel Lessons" steps listed above. You can also use any lesson plan to explore and learn any of the instruments by simply choosing which instrument(s) you want to book each lesson for when you are scheduling. You can also change your Music Coach anytime by choosing the day and location that your preferred Coach is available.
​Monthly plans are best for individuals who want steady weekly progress. You receive a certain number of lessons (based on which Monthly Plan you choose) each month and you are automatically billed each month on the day of the month you started your lesson plan. You have until your next payment date to book the lessons you received that month, otherwise your plan will refresh with a new batch of lessons and any lesson you did not book will be lost.

Longer Range/Family Plans are best for families or busy schedules. You receive the number of lessons in the plan (based on which plan you choose) all at once and you can schedule them anytime within the duration of that plan which is twice the amount of time it would be if you were taking weekly lessons. There are three Longer Range/Family Plans: a 3 Month, a 6 Month and a 12 Month plan. For each of these plans you have double the amount of time to use all the lessons in that plan. You get a bigger discount per lesson the bigger your plan is. The Longer Range/Family plans are billed only once and if you choose to continue lessons after the plan, you can simply choose the same plan again or a new plan. YOu can also share any Longer Range/Family Plan with any family member and design your lesson experience however you'd like, such as booking back to back lessons, having multiple family members in the same lesson, etc..

How to check on or make changes to your lesson plan(s)
In your AGA account all lesson plans are called "Subscriptions". You'll have the option to see the subscription status, number of lessons left, and number of payments completed. You'll also have the options to cancel subscriptions and purchase new subscriptions.
​1. login to your AGA account using the steps listed above in the "How to Access Your AGA Account" steps

2. Select the "My Subscriptions" section
3. Find the subscription you'd like to check on or change. ​
​
4. Choose your preferred option. Depending on the type of lesson plan you have, you can choose to temporarily pause your lesson plan, cancel your lesson plan and more.
​
5. Follow the prompts to complete changing your subscription
